Mgahinga is located in the southwestern part of Uganda and one of the 4 national parks in the world that harbor mountain gorillas other than Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, volcanoes national park, and Virunga national park. Mountain gorillas are endangered species of primates sharing over 98% human DNA so it’s every person’s dream come true when they spend some time with mountain gorillas. To trek mountain gorillas in Mgahinga national park requires one to have a gorilla permit and the permit rules allow each trekker to be around mountain gorillas for a maximum of only 1 hour.
