10 Days primate watching trip to Uganda, DR. Congo and Rwanda begins in Kampala the capital city of Uganda, and ends in Kigali the capacity city of Rwanda. Day 1; Start your 10 Days  primate watching trip to  Uganda, DR.Congo and Rwanda with a pickup and transfer to  Fort portal, visit the Amabare g’Nyinamwire caves before heading to Kibale Forest National Park

Today in the morning, you will start your safari journey with the pick up from the Entebbe International airport by our professional safari guide who will fiars introduce her or himself briefly and give you a short introduction about your safari trip regarding what you will expect to see when and possibly what you need to follow. Later, you will be able to join him and drive for about 300 kilometers to Kampala which is about 5 hours’ drive from Kampala. You will enjoy the countryside views as you drive through the Isenberg geographical. Your physical features in the greater lakes in Wamala, Mubende with the clear view. You will enjoy the clear views of the tea plantations as you move closer to the Fortportal city and you will have lunch in the Fortportal tourism city and after you will connect you will to Nyakasura area to see the heritage site of the Amabare g, nyinamwiru caves that are the free left standing. This is the breast the feature which the local people presume to be belonging to the Nyinamiru who were the daughters of the Bukuku who self-declared as the king of Bachwezi after this tour, you will go ahead and drive to visit the crate fields and hike the crater lakes including hiking the Kyeganywa hill providing the cater lakes of the Rwenzori mountain and after you will retire back to Kibale Forest National Park for relaxation, have dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park and evening drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The chimpanzee trekking safari will start at the Kayanchu tourism center early in the morning at 6 am with a briefing about the gorilla habituation. This means that you should get to the center early such that you don’t miss out on this wonderful safari activity. After being briefed, you will t head to Kibale forest national park to search for the habituated chimpanzees. Kibale forest National Park has more than 13 primate species including chimpanzees. The hike is as amazing as you walk through the forested areas full of different species of birds.  With chimpanzee habituation, you will spend time with the chimpanzees that are still under habitation and this is the whole day activity as you learn more about them and how the forest ranger and trackers engage in the chimpanzee habituation safari. On this day, you will have the packed lunch that you will have within the forest and you will be able to reach into the forest and see the chimpanzees leaving their nests until they get back in the evening so, this is an amazing activity for you to get involved in with a lot of things that you will see which will include the seeing the chimpanzees feeding, mating, making their nest among other activities.

After having this wonderful and amazing activity, now you will return to the lodge, checkout, and embark on the 157 kilometers safari journey to queen Elizabeth National Park. Within three hours, you will be able to get to Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through the road filled with several adventures of the mountain Rwenzori views and several crater lakes. You will reach at your booked lodge in time for short relaxation, have the dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 3; Queen Elizabeth National Park-Morning game drive and then the afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel

Provided that you have stayed within the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will start the journey at 6 am with breakfast in the morning, and by the time you reach the gate moving out it will be 7 am already. You will drive to the northeastern side of the Queen Elizabeth National Park where the game drives are majority conducted and carried out. Kasenyi has got a lot of vegetation types that harbor different species of animals including bushbucks, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and elephants, spotted hyenas, waterbucks, topis among other different animals that you can be able to see and enjoy. Bird species can also be seen during the game drives and if you are lucky you might find the lions feasting on the big buffaloe or the antelopes. The morning game drive will last for about 5 hours and you will return to the lodge for short relations, have lunch, and head for the Kazinga channel boat cruise. The boat cruise at Kazinga channel last for 2 hours  provides you with beautiful and wonderful views of the school of hippos,  herds of elephants and buffaloes  the African skimmers, great cormorants  among other species, later after the boat cruise, you will drive back to your lodge for relaxation and dinner

Day 4:  From Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

You will wake up for the last morning game drive in the Ishasha sector where you will be able to encounter the tree-climbing lions after having breakfast at the lodge and start the drive to Ishaha sectors as you search for the tree-climbing lions and you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park to reach in the evening for relaxation dinner and the overnight stay.

Day 5  Bwindi Mountain trekking experience  and the transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla park

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the important Forest National Park that has over 400 endangered mountain gorillas and visitors who will be able to enjoy the wonderful experience. Gorilla trekking experience starts early in the morning at 8 am with the briefing that is held at the at the park headquarters by the rangers of the Uganda wildlife Authority and after the gorilla trekking you will start walking into the forested areas of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park, enjoy the scenic views, abundant wildlife species and the birding watching species and then the main focus on the mountain gorillas. viewing the endangered mountain gorillas last for  one hour but the whole trekking experience lasts for about 2 to 8 hours  and after the gorillas trekking, you will return to the  headquarters get a certificate and then transfer to the  Mgahinga gorilla National park through the scenic areas of the Kigezi highlands  and then have dinner and overnight stay

Day 6: Mgahinga Golden Monkey tracking and drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda

In Uganda, Golden monkeys can only be seen in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and thus you will be able to go and track the endangered mountain gorillas. The golden monkeys are rare species and are endemic to the Virunga massif. You will start the journey to the forest to see the golden monkeys after briefing and later  and once you have to see n the golden monkeys, you will be limited for only four hours and after the experience, you will embark on the  safari drive to volcanoes national park in Rwanda  through the Cyanika border  and you will arrive in the evening for  relaxation , dinner and the overnight stay

Day 7:  Track the Volcanoes National Park Gorillas and drive to Kivu in Gisenyi

Today you will get another chance to see the mountain gorillas but this time in Rwanda’s Virunga National park. Virunga national park is also another area with a unique gorilla trekking safari and it harbors mountain gorillas about 20 gorilla families are registered in the volcanoes national park but only ten of them are open for gorilla trekking or tourism. Meaning that visitors can come and see gorillas within this wonderful National park. Gorilla trekking in volcanoes national park starts early in the morning at 7 am with preparation and by 8 are you be at the Kinigi headquarters to catch up with the mountain gorilla briefing led by the park ranger.  You will get entertained with the early Kinyarwanda dance as you enjoy the warm tea at the headquarters. After you have been briefed, you will now start the journey to the forest to look for the endangered mountain gorillas and you will rush to the forest full of flora and fauna and once you have found them, you will spend one-hour experience the gorillas as you take photos, ask any question that you want and after you will return to the starting point and then drive to Gisenyi  or lake Kivu for your relation and have the dinner and the overnight stay

Day 8; From Kivu to Kahuzi Biega National Park in Congo through Cyangungu Border

In the morning, you will wake up and have the morning breakfast before you embark on the journey to Bukavu in Congo via the Cyangungu border post. You will arrive in time for lunch in Bukavu and later explore the stunning Mbayo Tea plantations and learn more about the teak growing process and how it is harvested including the community encounters with the local people around. You will return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay

Day 9; Lowland gorilla trekking in Kahunzi Biega National Park

Today after having your breakfast served, you will start the memories journey to trek the lowland gorillas in this very great national park in the Democratize Republic of Congo. The lowland gorilla trekking activity will expose you to other species inhabited in the Kahuzi Biega national park which include bird species and other primates. The lowlands gorillas are different compared to the endangered mountain gorillas. Compared to the mountain gorillas, the lowland gorillas are larger and they prefer living in more sized groups and the lowland gorillas trek lasts for about 4 hours. As you explore the lowland gorillas, visitors will as well explore the interesting falls of Tshibati Falls providing beautiful sceneries as well as exploring the Bukavu town. After this great adventure safari, you will return to the lodge for relation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Today is the last day of our 10 Days primate watching trip to Uganda, DR.Congo and Rwanda. You will check out of your lodge after having breakfast and drive back to Kigali and by today we hope that you have heard a wonderful primate experience in all the countries, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. While driving back, you can make a stopover at Murambi Genocide memorial sites to get more lectures on what transpired during the 1994 Rwanda genocide memorial site
