Day 1: Start with a pickup from Kampala or Entebbe international airport – transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Today in the morning, you will be picked by our safari guide who will drive and come to your hotel or residence for a meet and greet and he will brief you about your safari to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. After this wonderful safari, you will be able to start your journey to Mgahinga Gorilla national Park that is located within southwestern Uganda at the border with Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The journey last for about 8-9 hours’ drive but you will enjoy the amazing stopover at Kayabwe landmark spot where you will have some good moments as you see both northern and southern hemispheres being bisected by the equator and other motional forces illustrating how the motion of force along the center of the earth as you take some photos as well as the doing some small shopping and if you left the lodge or hotel in Kampala or Entebbe without having breakfast, it’s your time to dine in the restaurant at the equator and enjoy a cup of the locally made coffees and after you will drive to Mbarara city and makes a stopover at Igongo cultural center where you will enjoy your lunch and a brief tour of the Ankole museum at the Igongo cultural center and you will continue driving via the Ankole plantation farms of tea and enjoy the Kigezi rolling hills before you reach to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and check-in at your booked lodge, spend the evening as you get used to the environment of gorilla trekking safaris

Day 2: Mountain gorilla national Park gorilla trekking safari and then transfer to Kampala/Entebbe airport
Today you will wake up early in the morning at around 6 am after you have been served breakfast by the welcoming staff at the lodge, after breakfast, you will arrange your belongings, pack them into your vehicle and wither with your driver, you will drive to the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park headquarters where you will receive instructions to follow while walking into the forest searching for the gorillas and what you can do after seeing the gorillas in their natural habitat. After briefing which is done at the park headquarters, you will be given arrange the guide and this time the gorilla family that you will track and after the journey into the wildness starts. Don’t get surprised because there are other several species that by will see in the forests other than primates as you look for the mountain gorillas and these will include the golden monkeys, olive baboons, and monkeys, and if you’re lucky you might encounter the African forest elephants amidst several species of birds. Mgahinga gorilla national park has got one habituated gorilla family Nyakagezi and it’s the one here that you will be looking for. This activity will take about 6 hours, however, this time depends on the movement of the gorilla family, the availability of food for the gorillas, where the gorillas slept the previous night, and the physical fitness of the people tracking the gorillas. You will have to walk through rugged terrain comprised of forested areas, valleys, and water streams and thus you must be extremely prepared when going to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park to track the endangered mountain gorillas. Make sure that you’re physically fit and mentally stable and whereby you feel that you cannot manage, you can hire the porter or use the sedan chairs for the pregnant women. After you see the gorillas, you will be allowed only one hour with gorillas and here you will be free to take photos and ask anything that you want to know about these gorillas. The guide will give you the important information about the forest and after this one hour, you will return to the starting point to get a certificate recognizing you participate in the conservation efforts of the endangered mountain gorillas and after you will return to the lodge and start your journey to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home. However, it’s good that you book your flight late in the evening at around 2300 hours
