Day 1: Transfer from the hotel to the airport for a flight to Masai Mara National Reserve.

The safari will begin early in the morning after you take your breakfast from your hotel. Early in the morning, you’ll be picked up from the airport or your hotel and driven to Wilson Airport. From here, you’ll board a small plane and fly to the world-famous Maasai Mara wildlife reserve. It’s a short flight that offers views of the Masai Mara’s rich countryside. When you arrive at the airstrip, you will be greeted by an Africa Adventure vacation driver who will greet you and transport you to your lodge along the picturesque path to drop off your luggage, ensuring that you don’t spend any time in the park. Relax and unwind over lunch at the lodge before returning to the park for an afternoon wildlife drive. In the afternoon, you’ll go on a game drive where you’ll have a high chance of seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, and zebras. Have pre-dinner beverages around the crackling campfire before retiring to your tented accommodation.

Day 2: A full day of wildlife viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve.

The Masai Mara will be your home for the whole day. On morning and afternoon game drives, you can go on safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Cross the wide plains and you’ll see herds of grazers, lion prides, and maybe even a leopard lazing in a tree. In the afternoon, visit a small farmhouse and have an interaction with Kenya’s famed Maasai herders. Their lives revolve around their animals, and they are always on the lookout for new pastures. Conversely, a thrilling hot air balloon flight above the Masai Mara is an amazing experience. You’ll get the opportunity to soar above the savannah at sunrise before landing on the plains for a champagne brunch among the animals. Inquire with your safari specialist about adding a Masai Mara balloon safari to your itinerary. After a late breakfast, you may either rest at your lodge until noon and then go out into the park, or pack a picnic lunch and head out into the park for a day of discovery, tracking the Wildebeest Migration (seasonal) or searching for the Big Five. Later, you will return back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning game drive followed by a flight back to Nairobi.

Before returning to Nairobi on your planned flight, you’ll go on another morning game drive where you’ll be able to see some of the animals that you missed on the previous game drives, such as lions, cheetahs , leopards, and rhinos. You will be taken to your hotel or the airport to end your 3 Day Fly-in wildebeest migration Safari.
