Day 1. Arrival at Kigali International Airport, pick up and transfer to Musanze district.

Our 3 day Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari begins with you arriving at Kigali International Airport, where the Africa Adventure Vacations limited representatives will come and meet you at the airport for a meet and greet interaction. After this, you will be clearly briefed about this safari by the staff. It would be beneficial for you to arrive in Kigali earlier so that you have the possibility (discretionary) to go on a brief city tour where you can visit the National Museum or the Genocide Remembrance Center, then eat and head to the recreation area in the evening. Following this encounter, you will board your vehicle and begin a two-to-three-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park at your lodge. The drive is so interesting, and what you need to do is just keep your eyes open for the wonderful views of the country. Enjoy the winding road with its roadside sightings of the communities, valleys, and hills, as well as several nearby communities. You will get the chance to make a stopover at several trading centers, so you can get some good local shopping from the local community. Later, you will arrive at Volcanoes national park to check into your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: gorilla trekking experience

Yes, this experience begins early in the morning at around 0630 hours. At this time, you will wake up, have the morning breakfast served by your lodge and then join your safari guide, who will take you to the park headquarters for a briefing session before the actual gorilla trekking experience starts. After the briefing, the gorilla trekking experience will begin, and this will be led by the armed ranger guide and the information-giving ranger. You will be requested to adhere to the guidelines and follow the exact established trails that are actually followed by the guide in the jungle. You will hike until you reach the allocated gorilla trekking family, which you will see for one hour before hiking back to the headwaters. After observing the gorillas for one hour, you will take photos the way you want and ask any questions that you feel like knowing the answers to. After the experience, you will trek back to the park headquarters and drive back to the lodge.

Day 3: Explore the Twin Lakes and drive back to Kigali

Early in the morning, after your morning meal, get ready for your half-day tour to the twin pools of Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo, or, if you prefer, go for a stroll locally and observe local customs. Later in the early evening, our driver guide will transport you to Kigali city, where you will have the opportunity to make some short memories by shopping in local marketplaces for trinkets before your evening flight, which marks the end of our 3 day Rwanda Gorilla trekking safari.
