3 Days Big Five Safari in Rwanda

This 3 Days Big Five Safari is designed specifically for travelers who want to see the big five animals in Rwanda. You will spend 3 days and 2 nights on this big five safari. In fact, Rwanda is the only park where you can go on safari game drives, and thus, this safari will give you the opportunity to see the big five African mammals, which include lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes. Akagera is not only for the big five animals, but the park also features other wildlife animals, which, among others, include the hyenas, zebras, the impalas, the hippos, and several other bird species, which you can explore during our 3 Days Big Five tour in Rwanda. While in Akagera national Park, we shall also take a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you will spot water animals and may be other animals that you could have missed or missed during the game drive safaris and have come to drink water, especially during the hot hours of the day. What to expect on a 3 Days Big Five Safari in Rwanda

Much of this safari will be dominated by the wildlife and the game drives, where you will be able to spot several species of animals, including the big five. Believe me, you will find a lot of bird species, especially if you are interested in several species of birds. Boat cruise safaris and camping are also possible when requested, so you need to book our 3 day Rwanda Big Five safari.

Day 1: Pick-up & drive east to Akagera National Park

Yes, our day will start with a pick-up from Kigali International Airport or at your hotel at around 9 a.m. in the morning after having your healthy breakfast that is served by your hotel. You will be driven to Akagera National Park and you will drive for about 3 to 4 hours to get to Akagera National Park. In the afternoon, you will check into your lodge, have lunch, and, after lunch in the evening, you will go for the boat cruise on Lake Ihema. After the 2 hours of the boat cruise on Lake Ihema, you will be driven back to the loge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive.

Early in the morning, after having breakfast, we shall leave for the early game drive with the aim of spotting the big five animals. The game drive will be done to spot more animals such as the spotted hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, bush pigs, rhinos, lions, and several other animal species that will be spotted. The emphasis will be put on identifying and finding the big five animals, and the chances of spotting them here are high. You will also enjoy the bird species in case you are interested in birds, because Akagera National Park also features a lot of the animal species that you will need to know the most for the best and most wonderful species. The whole day will be for the animals’ game drive in the entire national park, and later you will have to return to the lodge and have a comfortable stay for the 2nd night and the last night in Akagera National Park on this safari.

Day 3: Kigali city tour and safari conclusion.

On the third day of our safari, which is probably the last day of our safari, we will leave Akagera National Park after breakfast, but before we completely move outside the park, we will drive to the northern section of the Akagera National Park and have the last wildlife or game sightings in the park. In this section, several animals will be spotted, including lions, among others. Once this is done, we will drive straight back to Kigali city where we will stay for the afternoon. If you still have time, we will explore Kigali city, visiting the city markets, the art gallery, and the Kigali genocide memorial site. If there is no time, we will drive you straight to the Kigali International Airport and drop you off. This marks the end of 3 Days Big Five Safari in Rwanda
