Day 1: Pickup and departure for Kigali City Tour

After picking you up from the Kigali international airport, we shall drop you off at the hotel in Kigali and later begin the day’s city tour activities, which will include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, where you will witness the merciless killing of thousands of Rwandan blameless Tutsi in 1994, as well as a visit to the Rwanda Art Museum, before heading out for lunch. The city of Kigali is very interesting, and you will explore several administrative structures, museums, and see the economic activities of the Rwandan people in several districts. Day 2: drive to Karogi for holiday safari activities.

Today we leave Kigali international airport at around 9am and drive towards Karogi. The drive takes about 3 hours from Kigali city to Karogi. We usually stop at the Ndaba Rock and appreciate its stunning water falls for the historical and memorable experience. Following our arrival in Karongi, we may have lunch at the golf hotel, explore the Environmental Historical Center and relax on the Kivu Lakeside, before moving to Macheo Ecolodge for supper and short-term accommodation after all the safari activities.

Day 3: Return to Kigali by car.

Our journey back to Kigali will start in the morning after having broken fast. But before we go to Kigali, we will take a boat ride on Lake Kivu to enhance our experience of the various islands, such as the Queen Island and the Prince Island, and explore the places where the Belgians had set up their tea factories during the colonial period, followed by lunch and a drive back to Kigali to conclude your 3-days Karogi holiday package in Rwanda
