The driver will arrive at around 1600 hours in the morning and give you an overview of what will be done and what you can expect during this safari. After that, you will start the journey by following the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. This is so much fun because the closer we get to Tsavo East National Park, the more traditional coastal culture begins to fade away, giving way to semi-arid territory.

Right here comes the Tsavo East National Park Gate. We shall enter the park through the Buchuma gate, and you will start seeing animals right from the gate. On your safari drive, try to drive slowly so that you can have a full view of the animals. You will continue driving towards your accommodation facility or lodge as you are keen on looking for any wild animals that call the Tsavo East region home, and this is so much fun. Tsavo is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, covering 22,000 square kilometers. It is known for its dust-covered red elephant herds, maleness lions, and a variety of other wild creatures such as leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, and other plains game. You will be welcomed by the lodge attendant who will help you check in at Lion Hill Lodge, and later you will have a short relaxation and be served lunch.

After the delicious lunch, you will head to the Tsavo East wilderness to look for more animals, particularly those that you may have seen as you entered the park in the morning. We hope to return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after this fantastic game drive.
