3 Days Tsavo East National Park Safari

per person

Tsavo East National Park is one of the wonderful destinations you can book for a 3 days safari and probably the biggest park in Kenya, with almost 1400 square kilometers of savannah and semi-arid land. The park got its name from the river that flows from the western to the eastern midst of the national park, forming the big River Galena. Tsavo East National Park harbors a large and diversified animal population. The big five: black rhino, Cape buffalo, elephant, leopard, and lion, are all expected to be seen. The latter are the well-known Tsavo lions, whose mature males frequently lack manes. Regardless, they are known as Tsavo’s men-eaters. And there’s much more to view, including giraffes, yellow baboons, bushbucks, caracals, African wildcats, cheetahs, civets, wild dogs, various duikers, zebras, monkeys, genets, hartebeests, jackals, hyenas, mongooses, and many more.

Tsavo East National Park also features a lot of bird species. It is believed that more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in Tsavo East National Park. These bird species range from including ostriches on the land, water-bound kingfishers, herons, and crowned cranes, as well as the lyrical lovebird and holy ibis. Tsavo East National Park may be visited as a day excursion or as a two-or three-day safari with a hotel in the middle of the animals. Zebras, monkeys, and other animals which are so very interesting

  • Unlimited wildlife sightings in Tsavo East National Park
  • Driving in a comfortable safari pop-up vehicle
  • Photographs of various animals

Day 1: Travel from Mombasa to Tsavo East National Park for an evening game drive.

Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Mombasa after your early morning breakfast with our branded Africa Adventure Vacations vehicle and start the drive to the Tsavo East National Park. The driver will arrive at around 1600 hours in the morning and give you an overview of what will be done and what you can expect during this safari. After that, you will start the journey by following the Mombasa-Nairobi highway. This is so much fun because the closer we get to Tsavo East National Park, the more traditional coastal culture begins to fade away, giving way to semi-arid territory.

Right here comes the Tsavo East National Park Gate. We shall enter the park through the Buchuma gate, and you will start seeing animals right from the gate. On your safari drive, try to drive slowly so that you can have a full view of the animals. You will continue driving towards your accommodation facility or lodge as you are keen on looking for any wild animals that call the Tsavo East region home, and this is so much fun. Tsavo is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, covering 22,000 square kilometers. It is known for its dust-covered red elephant herds, maleness lions, and a variety of other wild creatures such as leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, and other plains game. You will be welcomed by the lodge attendant who will help you check in at Lion Hill Lodge, and later you will have a short relaxation and be served lunch.

After the delicious lunch, you will head to the Tsavo East wilderness to look for more animals, particularly those that you may have seen as you entered the park in the morning. We hope to return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after this fantastic game drive.

Lodging options: Lion Hill Lodge

Day 2:Full day game drive in Tsavo East National Park

The next morning, we hope that you have had a wonderful night. You will wake up in the morning to find the morning tea/coffee well prepared by the lodge, and after this morning tea, you will join your driver, who will be outside waiting for you, and drive back to the national park for more wildlife sightings. In the early morning game drive, perhaps you’ll witness a predator bringing its prey home, or drowsy young elephants sucking their food. A wonderful pleasure is an early morning bird song, which is loud, vibrant, and joyful. After the morning game drive, you’ll head back to your chosen lodge/camp for relaxation and have some lunch while watching wild creatures pass by. After your delicious lunch, take another game drive through the park to see what has changed from the morning drive. Our knowledgeable safari guides will try their best to locate your favorite species, ensuring that you see them all. You will return back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
