Pick up from your Nairobi hotel early in the morning and travel into Kenya, passing through the stunning vistas of the Eastern Rift Valley system. From Syria in the Middle East to Mozambique in Southern Africa, the Rift runs. You’ll pass through some breathtaking scenery on your way to Lake Nakuru Lodge for lunch. Then it’s over to Lake Nakuru National Park for an afternoon wildlife drive. You have a wide range of options, including flamingos, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes, and white and black rhinos. For supper and the night, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lodging options include Lake Nakuru Lodge (Lucury), Maili Saba Camp-Nakuru & Hotel Waterbuck Nakuru.
Day 2: Visit Lake Nakuru National Park before continuing on to Masai Mara National Reserve.
Today you will wake up for your early morning breakfast and go for a game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will enrich yourself with sightings of lions, leopards, zebras, baboons, waterbuck, and other animals, in addition to the park’s large diversity of birds. The park also has both white and black rhinoceros, making it a unique experience. After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Masai Mara, a world-renowned safari destination. Each year, 1.7 million wildebeest and over 500,000 zebras and antelopes cross the swelling Mara River in search of protection on the Masai Mara’s broad grasslands. Even if the wildebeest migration isn’t taking place, you’ll have the opportunity to witness the full Big Five as well as Kenya’s most diverse wildlife population. After lunch, go on an afternoon and twilight game drive in search of big cats, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife. Later, you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Lodging options include: Mara samba lodge (midrange/luxury);

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve full-day game drives
The Masai Mara will be your home for the whole day. On morning and afternoon game drives, you can go on safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Cross the wide plains and you’ll see herds of grazers, lion prides, and maybe even a leopard lazing in a tree. In the afternoon, visit a small farmhouse and have an interaction with Kenya’s famed Maasai herders. Their lives revolve around their animals, and they are always on the lookout for new pastures. Conversely, a thrilling hot air balloon flight above the Masai Mara is an amazing experience. You’ll get the opportunity to soar above the savannah at sunrise before landing on the plains for a champagne brunch among the animals. Inquire with your safari specialist about adding a Masai Mara balloon safari to your itinerary. After a late breakfast, you may either rest at your lodge until noon and then go out into the park, or pack a picnic lunch and head out into the park for a day of discovery, tracking the wildebeest migration (seasonal) or searching for the Big Five. Later, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
