Our 5 Day Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara safari will start and end in Nairobi, our visitors may be staying at any accommodations of their choice in Nairobi.  Within this 5 Day Amboseli, Lake Nivasha and Masai Mara safari, it will start in Nairobi, travel to Amboseli National Park, then lake Naivasha and it will end with the great Masai Mara National Reserve. This safari will take you on a journey across Kenya’s diverse ecosystems, including expansive savannahs, world-class highlands, high-altitude lakes, and deep gorges. Each zone is home to a variety of species and birds, including lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, ostriches, cormorants, and eagles, to mention a few.

Amboseli National Park, which will be your first visit on this safari, looks like a page from a beautiful calendar, with the huge grandeur of Mt. Kilimanjaro rising above. Thousands of free-ranging elephants move about the landscape, producing images and memories for your African safari. From here, there is, Lake Naivasha, which offers a relaxing sailing safari past hippos and other species such as antelope and giraffe feeding on the shore. On a guided walking tour, we’ll visit the adjacent Crescent Island Sanctuary for some close-up game watching.

This safari will end with the wonderful and famous destination in Kenya which is the Masai Mara National reserve which is the largest, and it is here that we will spend the most of our safari, exploring its hills, plains, and rivers, which are a wildlife hotspot. The Masai Mara National Reserve is an amazing combination of big cats, buffalo, elephants, and the hordes of wildebeests and zebras that make up the Great Migration’s annual trip into the park.

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park (approximately 4 hours’ drive)

This safari will start as early as at 7:00m in the morning where by our safari guide will come and pickup you up from your hotel in Nairobi and he will come to you with the private 4×4 Landcruiser jeep. What you will board and begin your safari to Amboseli National Park as you are following the  Nairobi  Mombasa highway. We will pass through the Masai land, and you can see Mt. Kilimanjaro rising in the distance, indicating that we’re nearing Amboseli Park. We’ll arrive at the park late in the morning and freshen up at our lodging, which will be either a safari lodge or a tented camp. Then it’s time for a safari — we’ll drive around the park in a 4 x 4 searching for elephants and other big game including lions, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and the abundant birds. We’ll return to our lodging in the evening for dinner and to unwind after a long first day on our African safari.

Lodging facilities include:  Amboseli Serena Lodge (luxury), Kibo Safari Camp (mid-range) and Sentrim Amboseli Camp (standard).

Day 2:  Look for the Amboseli Big cats and then transfer to Lake Naivasha (approximately 5 to 6 hours’ drive).

The word “safari” means “travel,” but it may also refer to getting up before dawn to observe the animals in the early morning light. We’ll go on a hunt for elephants, large cats, and other animals in the park. We’ll have breakfast in the middle of this natural beauty before taking one last game drive across the park to see Kilimanjaro in the early morning light. We’re now on our way to Lake Naivasha, along the Great Rift Valley’s breathtaking panoramas. We’ll stop in Nairobi for a wonderful lunch at one of the city’s most famous eateries. With your guide, you will arrive at Lake Naivasha late in the afternoon and possibly go on a calm sailing safari across the lake, gliding by bathing hippos while reflecting on the incredible natural environment in which we find ourselves. On the coast, look for cormorants, pelicans, and grazing antelope. At our Naivasha lodging, we’ll settle in for supper.

Day 3: Transfer from Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 4 to 5 hours driver)

We’ll get up with the birds and take a game drive through the park. The quantity of neighboring parks created by nature for your enjoyment is a prominent aspect of this neighborhood. We’ll travel to Crescent Island Sanctuary, a private area abounding with grazing species and shorebirds, which is close by. Neighboring With its towering cliffs and active steam vents, Hell’s Gate National Park presents a unique perspective. You may go on a walking or bicycling safari here, where you’ll see antelope, giraffe, zebra, and buffalo, among other animals. We’re shortly on our way to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s largest park. We’ll arrive in time for an afternoon wildlife drive, when we’ll marvel at the splendor of this world-famous reserve, which is home to lion prides and all of the big cats. Dinner will be served at our Masai Mara lodging, and we’ll unwind before a full day of safari in the park.

Day 4: Spend the entire day on a game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve.

It’s time for an early morning game drive to soak in the new day—the gentle light dances across the fields and trees as the wildlife awakens from the night. This is a day to do as much or as little exploring as you choose, although you may also rest at your hotel. Simply talk to your guide; he’ll always be able to offer advice. If you visit between July and October, you’ll be able to see the Great Migration, an annual event in which countless herds of wildebeests, zebra, and gazelle migrate into the Mara in search of water and grass. We’ll go down to the Mara River to see the hippos and crocodiles that live there. Large numbers of predators like lions and cheetahs are also waiting for the moving herds. Nature’s drama may sometimes be witnessed in all of its ferocious intensity right in front of our eyes. Take advantage of an optional hot air balloon safari above the dawning park to add to the drama of your Africa safari. Rise with the sun till the Mara’s grandeur is fully seen below. It was an incredible experience. We provide an optional visit to a nearby community to give your safari some cultural depth. Meet the Maasai people, learn about their traditional way of life, and possibly purchase some of their handicrafts and brilliant beading. We’ll return to our lodging for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve and drive back to Nairobi (approximately 5 hours’ drive)

Let’s go hunting for more big game across the ever-brightening hills and plains on our final safari morning of this 5 Day Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara safari expedition. As we depart, traveling back to Nairobi, we’ll eat a final breakfast and take one more look around the park. We’ll arrive in the capital at 4:30 p.m. and return you to your hotel, apartment, or airport. We promised you lakes, mountains, forests, savannahs, and all the wildlife they hold.
