Day 1:  Kampala or Entebbe International Airport-Kibale Forest National Park

We shall leave early in the morning from Kampala or Entebbe international airport to Kibale Forest National Park through the Kampala Mubende Fortportal highway. You will drive as you enjoy the beautiful scenes of the roadside attractions including the local people’s traditional homesteads and wonderful landscapes and several birds that you will see hovering around even before reaching your destination Kibale Forest National Park.  On this safari journey, you will also enjoy different plantations farms especially the tea plantations as you’re close to Fortportal city, you will also enjoy various crater lakes, as well as the magnificent mountain ranges of Ruwenzori, provided the weather conditions do allow. The forest stopover of this journey will be at Fortportal tourism city where we shall have lunch and after lunch, you will drive and check in to your booked Lodge. The journey will last for about 5 hours but this will depend on the traffic flow on the road

Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park- Full-Day Chimpanzee habituation experience safari

On this day the whole day will be for the chimpanzee habituation experience. You will wake up and enjoy the morning the early breakfast and after you drive to the Kibale Forest Headquarters for the chimpanzee habituation experience.  Here you will be briefed about the chimpanzees and how you should handle yourself when you come in close contact with the endangered mountain gorillas. Chimpanzee trekking is so interesting activity and so rewarding. After the briefing, you will be able to lead you to the community to trek and this will be done with the help of the trackers, researchers, and guides. The chimpanzee trekking will be done on a full-day basis and you will spend the whole day taking quality pictures, learning how the individuals feed, and all the activities that the trackers do when tracking the chimpanzees.  As you’re doing the chimpanzee habituation experience, you will be able to enjoy the chimpanzees and other species such as butterflies, trees, and trees that you will encounter when in their wildness. After, you will drive back to the Lodge for the overnight stay after you have been given served dinner.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park-Morning breakfast and Transfer back to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After the chimpanzee habituation experience in Kibale Forest National Park, you will be able to now to pack, checkout out from your room and enter into the car and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park which is so good. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is one of the best destinations for gorillas and it has the highest population of mountain gorillas with the lushness and tropical green forests. The high highland forests of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park provide the best destination for the endangered mountain gorillas. You will drive for about 5 hours from Kibale Forest National Park to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Parks Rushaga sector to reach your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Morning Gorilla habituation Experience

Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park is done and conducted in the southern sector of Rushaga. Today’s activity will start with the morning breakfast of a warm or hot cup of tea with good accompaniments. Our safari drive will be exactly waiting for you outside the hotel and you will get into the car and be driven to where you will receive the gorilla habituation instructions. Normally this is done at the headquarters. It is good to receive instructions as it will help you to learn more about how you will handle yourself while searching the mountain gorillas in the forest. You will be told how you should walk while in the wild and what you will do after seeing the gorillas. After the briefing, you will be led by researchers and guides to the forest, while looking for the semi-habituated mountain gorilla families, you will be may encounter other wildlife species such as birds, small butterflies, and unique tree species which will be explained to you by the professional ranger.

Once you see the gorillas you will spend 4 hours with them. Remember that, you will see the gorillas that are being habituated and thus they are not yet fully used to the people and thus you will get a chance to participate in the activities that researchers do to make gorillas get used to the people such as the naming of the gorillas, calling them, collecting samples and others. After four hours you will return to the park headquarters where you started the activity and then earn yourself the gorilla habituation certificate and you will be driven back to your lodge for the overnight stay.

Day 5:  Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park-drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport

The day will start with the morning breakfast, check out from your hotel room. Join your safari guide and later drive back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport with stretching points at Kayabwe equator landmark and later continue to Kampala or to Entebbe International Airport for your flight back home.
