Therefore, on this day, early in the morning, you will meet both the safari planner and our driver guide, who will brief you on the itinerary before you embark on your journey to Tarangire National Park through Arusha Town to do some shopping. After 2 to 3 hours of traveling on the Great Northern Highway and through Masai grasslands and small settlements, we arrive at Tarangire and immediately begin the game drive. The journey to Tarangire Gate takes you across the Masai Steppe and various villages. Tarangire National Park, located at the base of the Great East African Rift Valley, is Tanzania’s fifth-largest national park and is characterized by steep hills and low ground characterized by acacia forests and massive baobab trees that dwarf certain animal species that come under it, and it runs between the lines of the Tarangire River.

The park also features a permanent water source from the river Tarangire, which moves from the north to the south. Apart from the river, there is also a swamp, which all provide the perfect conditions for the animals that do reside within the park. The park’s massive elephant population and three rare species of Great Kudu (Fringed Eared Oryx, Ash Stalling) are among its notable features. Buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, warthog, hippos, giraffe, and a slew of baboons and monkeys are among the animals you may expect to see.

Visitors will encounter various predators that call Tarangire National Park their home. Predators such as lions, hyenas, jackals, and leopards can easily be seen in Tarangire National Park. For birders, Tarangire National Park is the best destination for you to enjoy this wonderful safari. The park hosts more than 400 species of birds, and these include, among other things, herons, ostriches, secretary birds, and other wonderful migratory birds. As they escape the early mist, you will notice a cat family on the road on a morning game drive. Other nocturnal predators returning from a long night of hunting, or a group of lionesses assembling to plan an ambush, may be seen stopping for breakfast in the jungle. You will travel right to where the wildebeest migration is packed every other day, spend as much time as possible with the herds, and perhaps watch some animal activities such as fighting, hunting, and even killing. The Serengeti is not only the site of the annual Wildebeest Migration in the Serengeti-Masai Mara Ecosystem, but it is also an incredible place to see a wide variety of animals and birds, including lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, and cheetahs, as well as zebra, elephants, topis, giraffes, buffalo, and a variety of antelopes. In the morning, you will wake up early at around 0600 hours, pack your breakfast and lunch, and later drive for the early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park to boost your chances of spotting the predators in the park. These can be seen along the highway in the morning as they run away from the deep mist within the park. Other nocturnal predators returning from a night of hunting or a group of lionesses planning a dawn ambush may also be seen. Breakfast will be served in the wilderness, then travel to the heart of the Wildebeest Migration to spend time with the herds. (This will depend on travel dates and whether or not they will be in Central Serengeti). However, the Serengeti is still the finest spot to visit, whether or not the migration of herds is taking place. Later that afternoon, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping for a wildlife drive along the way before arriving at your booked lodge for sunset viewing, supper, and sleep.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area sustains a wide range of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and enormous African elephants, thanks to year-round water and feed. We’ll go to Lake Magadi, a big but shallow alkaline lake in the crater’s southwest corner that is one of the crater’s most prominent features.
